Sarah Post, LMSW

Born and raised in Germany, I struggled with the complexities of balancing two distinct cultures throughout my upbringing. Regular visits to the United States intensified this struggle, fostering a sense of not fully belonging anywhere. My parents, residing on opposite ends of the globe, created a unique family dynamic, prompting a deep exploration of these complexities in my therapeutic journey. Growing up, I confronted the challenges of anxiety and depression, compounded by relentless bullying that left lasting scars. An undiagnosed battle with PCOS further impacted my self-esteem. These personal struggles, coupled with navigating the intricacies of dual cultures, fueled my commitment to support others facing similar challenges.

My therapeutic approach is client-centered, offering empathetic support for anxiety, depression, trauma, and the impact of PCOS on the body and mind. Employing a holistic perspective, I delve into the mind, body, and spirit connection, crafting individualized plans incorporating mindfulness, self-compassion, somatic treatment, and energetic healing. Through my past experience working with mandated clients on probation, and addressing deep-rooted traumas, I recognize the importance of family dynamics and a generational therapeutic perspective. These lenses bring to light the intricate threads woven into our lives, allowing for comprehensive healing.

Drawing from my journey of self-discovery and healing, I am committed to guiding you through the treatment of self-esteem struggles, emotional/physical abuse, family trauma, depression, and anxiety. Embarking on a collaborative journey, we together will craft a tailored plan to rejuvenate your mind, body, and spirit. I became a therapist with a profound desire to pay forward the transformative support I received during my therapeutic journey. Together, we will navigate every step of your unique journey, fostering resilience, growth, and positive change. I look forward to the opportunity to work alongside you, creating a safe space for healing and personal transformation.
