My path to becoming a social worker began when I leaned away from my idea of societal norms and leaned into my passion for helping people. I began my own healing in therapy right out of high school, years before I decided to get a degree in social work. I learned valuable information in college, and I experienced life situations that validated my education. After years of school, healing, joy, sadness and job experience, I finally felt ready to offer my hand as a therapist. I began working with children and teenagers, and then moved into working with adults who experienced domestic abuse/violence. Both of these gave me the knowledge I have on trauma, attachment, inner child work, self-esteem and communication.

I admire working with individuals who are in a place of curious self exploration, and are interested in self improvement and empowerment. I understand those things can look different for each unique individual. Which is why I respect you as the expert of your life and I will meet you exactly where you are in your growth. With an abundance of information online and on social media, it can be comforting to know you’re not alone in your struggles. But it can also be overwhelming to have an assortment of information without emotional support to apply solutions.

My hope is to apply what you already know about yourself, and work together to incorporate evidence based techniques that fit into your life. I hope to accomplish this by building trust to create a space that you feel understood, and a safe place for you to be yourself without fear of judgment. I look forward to the possibility of working together on this new venture of change.
