Jessika Tweedy, LAC

Do you struggle with your family's expectations, rigid belief systems and the conflict between who you are now and who you were raised to be? Breaking away from harmful cycles and old ways of coping is a necessary step towards healing, but it can feel daunting and even isolating at times. I am driven to help people heal from past experiences, develop confidence in who they truly are and to become aware that they have the power to learn different skills and make a new path forward.

What drew me to this field began with my own healing journey. I grew up in a high conflict home with severe substance addiction in the family, have struggled with confidence and body image and deconstructed from a high demand religion. I have been able to grow from my past experiences by learning healthier coping skills, working towards acceptance of my past and developing confidence in who I am.

As your therapist, I can be a guide as you process life's experiences - helping you change old patterns by using understanding, empathy and a little humor. I use a trauma informed and humanistic approach, meeting you where you are at with the understanding that not all trauma comes from major events. Ultimately, my goal is to help my clients understand who they are and how they work. From there, change and moving forward are possible.

I offer a free 15 minute consultation to answer any questions you have.
